Loving The Work Of a Fellow Non Artist/Photographer

One of the things I heart most is observing pictures taken by someone who isn't a deemed artist but just is good at taking good shots and capturing rare moments with grace unintended. They didn't go to school for it, it's just a natural talent. Totally accidental and intentional at the same time. To me that is the best. My cousin took these shots in Venice Italy, and so I grabbed them and thanked him in my own way while explaining that this was going to be a part of my blog post. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did. My favorite specifics about these shots, the various pops of color and absolute fun and enjoyment of life you see from the people in the pictures...very inspiring.

Friday Tips and Tricks

1. Use a cheese grater, nail filer, pumice stone to add original flair to those old jeans. Dress up your jeans with a few more items click here for more info
Check the Vid How to Make Your Jeans look Distressed

2. Add on the bangles! If you are uncomfortable with the extra 'hang time' on your upper arm and have only begun to pump iron with those 2 to 5 pounds then stock up on the bangles almost halfway up the arm. Mix up the bangles by selecting large, medium and small bangles.

3. Mix up the smell goods. Pick up a light scented Muslim oil or other light scented oil in town and mix with a fruity or light floral scented favorite for a unique scent, of course if you don't want to dish out the extra cash to purchase your own perfume created with your DNA. One favorite that is good for mixing is Tommy Girl.

A Good Old Fashion Remedy from a Funky Cool Show

Okay saw this episode of What I Hate About me on Style channel and uh oh yes..loved it! Grabbed some awesome tips for tightening the body by adding a few teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water and taking a garlic oil pill.

Detoxify the body by soaking in a bath made with green tea and epsom salts. (The caffeine tightens the body and epsom salts helps to draw out the toxins from your body)

For Soft Feet
Combine 1 cup white distilled vinegar to 2 gallons warm water.  Soak feet for 45 minutes then use a pumice stone or file to remove dead skin from heels and callused areas of feet.

Are Your Feet Sandal Ready?

Okay now I ain't a fan of rocking all sorts of open toes at least I never was really before, but now you cannot keep me out of a pair of sandals. Nobody wants to walk around with sweaty feet, besides pretty toes equals healthy feet, most of the time. Giving yourself a pedicure doesn't have to be exhausting. It can be fun and quick with the right products. Call a girlfriend and have her join you or get your dude involved. Ask him to rub your feet with a little olive oil after you finish your pedi.

Pedicure favorites I swear by:
  • Olive Oil (Grab a bottle from your local grocery store)..this feels so damn good on the skin, and makes it soft and moisturizes extremely well...good for hair too.
  • Coconut Oil....
  • Scented Bath Salts...makes the water and skin smell good.
  • The Body Shop Moisture Booties...this replaces the plastic bag on your feet with vaseline overnight remedy (less messy) just slip these bad boys on.

Stay Good Looking and Healthy Inside & Out

Yummy good stuff Quaker Oats Raisin, dates, and walnut oatmeal for breakfast. Now this goody goody is packed with plenty of vitamins, iron, and dietary fiber and only dishes out just 165 calories per bowl. Now that is some guilt free breakfast feasting. Anyway be sure to check out the knock off from Giant or whatever brand your favorite supermarket offers. (And no I wasn't paid to advertise this) it's just damn good breakfast eating for a gal.

On a perfume note and just in time for Spring, you gotta love the new DKNY Delicious Duo Rollerball (floral scent on one end sour apple smellgood on the other half) and at only about $20 bucks, and compact to fit in a lightweight handbag like a clutch you can keep this treasure with you on the DL to freshen up wherever whenever.
